It's been a busy couple of weeks.
Updates soon. M & T's wedding was great. F & M's visit was fun. Scampbe's still here and Dorfmeister is in the US and will hopefully be able to come home without being interrogated too much at the border. I have been eating out almost every day and it's not a good thing. Going grocery shopping this week. At some point. Only 14 more weeks until vacation! Arrrgghh!

TMI
My mom works in an old folk's home (or extended care facility, whichever PC term you want to attach to it). Anywho, from time to time she comes home with random plastic doo-dads that are containers for whatnot.
This week I have, in an effort to be more healthy, decided to forego using the available CoffeeMate at work for real milk/cream. I found one of these doo-dads in the cupboard and put some milk in it and took it to work with me. I discovered that this one little plastic cuppy thing held enough milk/cream for 2 cups of coffee... so I left the remainder for a second day (today).
As I was pouring the milk into my coffee today, I had the sudden realization that this cuppy thing looked about the same size/capacity as a pee/sperm cup.
Gross.

Things I've learned on the internet recently
- I knew that David Gray's song "Say Hello Wave Goodbye" is a cover, just didn't know who did it originally. Today I found out it was Soft Cell (of Tainted Love fame)
- JMuss lives around the corner from Scampbe's parents. Like literally. But I'm not going to publish that link to the map I found.
- I don't need to rely on MSN Entertainment to get my daily entertainment fix. I can rely on other people's random blogs - dlisted and pinkisthenewblog and gofugyourself are a hoot.
- Puyallup is SOUTH of Seattle.

who was it???
Has anyone listened to The Beat 94.5 in the mornings in the last week? I just happened to tune in on Wednesday (trying to escape The Fox's playing of Angels & Airwaves - more on that later) near the end of their show and they were polling people about if they should reveal the name of a philandering local TV celebrity. Apparently the Other Woman called in to request and dedicate a song to her Lover. Kid Carson and Nira went on to ask to whom they should dedicate it to, and the Other Woman replied something along the lines of, "Ooh, I don't think I should... he's kind of a celebrity... and he's married..."
Oh, for heaven's sake. Can you say Attention Whore? (or maybe just whore?) Well faster than you could say that, actually, tons of people started calling in saying "Tell us who it is! Don't tell us who it is! Maybe she's lying! Come on!!"
Why does it matter? Why must we stick our noses in other people's business? Why are we so fascinated in the downfall of people we put on a pedestal? What does it say about our society? Are we fed this gossip because we are genuinely interested or is there some social engineering machine that dictates what we must be obsessed with? I've been reading waaaay too much entertainment news.
Anyway, didn't find out who it was on Wednesday because they wouldn't say. Then on Thursday I also tuned in around the same time to find out that The Other Woman called The Wife to let her know what was going on... and then got Kid Carson to call The Wife to verify the story... and then The Wife almost gave her permission to blurt out Said Philandering TV Personality's name over the air... but then backed out. End of Thursday morning transmission.
So this morning I tuned in around the same time only to find out that they in all likelihood did reveal his name earlier this morning... but didn't want to talk about it at 8:48 AM. Whatevs.
Who the hell is it, now, and why do I want to know? Garrr.
